Africam Safari Puebla Mexico
Following a tradition of the ancient prehispanic peoples in Mexico, there are many great zoos in our country. The Spaniard conqueror, Hernán Cortés, was surprised of the magnificence of the zoo and aviary he found in the city of Tenochtitlan; more than three hundred people worked and took care of the animals there. In the present time, the main zoos nearby Mexico City are: the Zoológico de Chapultepec in Mexico City; the Zoofari in Morelos; the Zoológico de Zacango and the Parque Temático Teotihuacán, both in the State of Mexico; and Africam Safari in Puebla.
Africam Safari is an open zoo where most of the animals live “freely” (not in cages). Thanks to the moderate size of the different habitats, the visitor can be really close to the animals from a vehicle. There are 300 species of animals in the park.
As many of the zoos, the area is divided in the different geographical zones of the world: “The Delta of Okavango”, “The Kalahari Desert”, “The Huasteca”, “Yellowstone”, are some of them. The visit is of approximately two hours. In the “Adventures Zone”, the visitor walks where one can find other species and attractions such as the butterflies and the cavern of bats.
There are many beautiful animals: the Bengal white tiger, capybara, alligators, Ostrich, giant turtles as well as many kinds of deer.
This zoo was created by the traveler and adventurer, Captain Carlos Camacho, who was from Acatzingo, Puebla. The name of the park is a compound word referring to Africa and his last name Camacho. The zoo opened on April 2, 1972. Unfortunately, on October 28, 1976 Carlos Camacho died when attacked by one of his animals, an albino lion. Nowadays, the park is run by his descendants.

The age of the legendary’s birth
After Arceus was born, supposedly from the Universe, he created three beings: Dialga to control time, Palkia to control space, Mew to help him in the creation of the Pokémon world and to put everything in place.
Arceus created three more beings: Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit who were born from the same egg, and these three Pokémon created the spirit. Azelf gave will (strength) to human beings, Uxie gave wisdom to human being, and Mesprit gave emotions to human beings. Groudon to create and control the earth, Kyogre to create and control the water, and Rayquaza to create and control the air. Groudon and Kyogre were opposites, so they began a great battle which destroyed almost everything they had created. So Rayquaza, in order to end the battle, descends from the skies, but he could not do it alone, so he created Regigigas. After the fight Regigigas gave his soul for three bodies: Regirock, Regice and Registeel.
Arceus gave origin to Heatran to control the lava, the weather, its phenomena and everything that is solid; and Giratina to control the Inverse World, which is the place where the Pokémon go after death.
Arceus gave origin to Cresselia, who is in charge to control dreams, that is, to take good dreams to human beings. She is the opposite of Darkrai who is responsible for taking nightmares.
He also created two bird siblings known as Latias and Latios. Together they are the guardians of the infinite, that is, of the other dimensions and parallel worlds.
Arceus made Celebi and Shaymin so that they could control and protect nature. He made Lugia and Ho-Oh, as sibling birds, to take peace and prosperity to human beings. Lugia lived in a tower and Ho-Oh in another, but these Pokémon had a territorial rivalry, just like Dialga and Palkia, so they began a battle to win the place. But in the middle of the battle, a ray fell into Lugia’s tower and that is how Lugia lost his territory and went to look for a new life: the seas. In order to glorify his power, Ho-Oh created three Pokémon: Raikou (the ray that reached the tower), Entei (the fire that was generated by the ray) and Suicune (the rain that ended the fire).
Lugia went to live nearby three islands, and just like Ho-Oh, in order to prove his power, he created three Pokémon: Articuno for the first island, the ice; Zapdos for the second island, the ray; and Moltres, the fire, for the third island.
Arceus created Jirachi to be the Star of Desires, that means that she would be the dreams and the hopes of human beings, working together with Azelf.
Arceus generated Manaphy to be the Prince of the Seas, to control them, as his domain, working with Kyogre.
He also originated Deoxys to be the guardian of the universe.
Mewtwo, Phione, Regigigas, Regice, Regirock and Registeel are the legendary not created by Arceus. Mewtwo was developed by human beings from Mew’s genetic material in order to surpass him. Phione is Manaphy’s son and considered as Legendary, and the four Regis were created by Rayquaza. The Pokémon Universe has different stories of how each region came to life. These regions are: Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto.
Corleaitor and the mystery of the unowns
We are the unown, and we have to tell you something. We make good dreams in order to tell you our secret. This is our secret:
Thousands of years ago, this planet did not exist. Everything was lava, but one day a magic creature came out. It was a Pokémon and his name was Corleaeitor, the first Pokémon to exist, and a year later another one was created. His name was Osertaener. Corleaeitor was good, but Osertaener was the opposite. Each one of them created his dimension. Corleaeitor created a beautiful one full of plants and trees, even a Pokémon named Arceus, who was a sweet and good Pokémon even better than Corleaeitor. The only wrong thing about him was that when he got angry, he wanted to destroy the world created by his father.
Osertaener created a world of lava, without life, full of evil.
One they osertaener and Corleaeitor met, and began a battle. Suddenly Corleaeitor used his best attack, Split, and Osertaener used Bader, and they killed each other.

Arceus was left alone in the world, but luckily he inherited a power from his father: he was able to “create life”.
Arceus wrote a song to soothe, and to avoid moretragedies.
